Perry
I was delighted to have a my design featured on the Gloucestershire Henson Pig Art Trail in 2017.
My design called ‘Perry’ takes his inspiration from the fact that the Gloucester Old Spot Pig is often referred to as the ‘orchard pig’ because they eat windfall apples. However, instead of apples, I decided to decorate my Henson with a pattern of different pear varieties and blossom, as his shape is very pear-like from his back view. Perry is also a popular drink made from pears, which is made throughout the Three Counties region. It took 30 hours for me to paint my pig.
The trail, took place from June to August 2017 and it expanded on the success of the previous year’s Scrumpty Trail. Perry was located at the beautiful Gloucester Services, on the southbound side of the M5. There were twenty sculptures in Gloucester city with an additional twenty around the county.
